U11 Eagles Minis
Fixtures and Results
Welcome to the Eagles U11s
We are looking for U11 players for this season, players who buy into the team ethic and the RFU ethos of TREDS: Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship.
The Effingham Minis U11’s are coached by a dedicated group of volunteer parents who have attended RFU training courses.
Year 4 children are welcome to join the Minis U11’s. We make the sessions fun and rewarding, encouraging the RFU ethos which is TREDS – Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship.
The sessions typically start with a group stretch and warm up but we then split into smaller groups so the children can participate in 6-8 fun exercises or games. Lastly, we finish off with a fun group exercise, give out a couple of medals for the children who did well that week (don’t worry, they all get one eventually) and finish off with a hot dog in the clubhouse!
Sessions start at 10am and typically finish by 11:30am. We encourage parents to watch from the sidelines and support their child during the sessions and if you want to get really involved, you can sign up to help coach too!
You’re welcome to try a couple of sessions for free to make sure your child enjoys it before becoming a member. The season starts at the beginning of September and runs until the end of April.
We use WhatsApp to communicate to the coaches and parents and Spond to manage attendance at training, fixtures and matches.
