On the 23rd November over 90 members of Effingham & Leatherhead Rugby club and their guests joined us for a fantastic evening listening to the many stories of Tom Shanklin who was a local lad having spent his teenage years growing up in Effingham and playing for the club, who then went on to play for the likes of London Welsh, saracens and Cardiff Blues. He then went on to play Wales and for the lions team.
The evening was catered for by Rocket Catering who fed us with a lovely 3 course meal, lots of wine flowed and a good time was had by all.
