Saturday 17th January 2026 saw Effingham and Leatherhead Rugby Club make history as the Eagles Ladies touch team made their competitive debut at Reeds Weybridge in a Six by Six by Seven tournament. Over 60 ladies from 6 clubs came together for a wonderful afternoon of touch rugby. 5 matches were played with the majority drawn. The final match of the round robin stage saw them take part in a kick off which they sadly lost to the kick of a Surrey under 18 team member.
The 3 vs 4th place play off beckoned and after a valiant fight against Old Reigatians, Effingham and Leatherhead Ladies came 4th out of 6 teams.
