Camberley RFC vs Eagles U13B – 3rd/4th Final

The sun was shining for the last game of the season against a team who had a squad of 20+.

Effingham boys, to a man did very well.  The first half was the best play of the season with some big hits coming from the most unlikely places and we were up at half time.   Some great interlinking play in the forwards and backs bring rewards with some great tries.   However, the heat and intensity shown by both sides in the first half took its toll in the second.  We only had one sub and then had to borrow one of their players as Elliot and Pechie went off injured.

So in the second half their massive bench came into play meaning that they were able to keep their team fresh and holes started to appear for their very big, rangy backs who ran in a few tries in the second half.

It was a great performance from the boys who never gave up, there were some glimpses from some players to build on for next season, the man of the match was a difficult call but went to Max Lee for a step change in performance which I hope he takes into next season.
